The new Wagener Salley High School is a state-of-the-art facility encompassing approximately 155,000 square feet. It is strategically located on the existing campus of A.L. Corbett Middle School in Wagener, South Carolina. The design and construction of this facility were planned to enhance the educational experience while efficiently utilizing the existing infrastructure.

The new athletic facilities are designed to incorporate both existing and newly constructed resources. The existing track and field facilities have been retained and complemented by the addition of new baseball and softball fields at the new site. Furthermore, an additional restroom and concessions building has been constructed adjacent to these fields. A new middle school practice field has also been developed. Football games will continue to be played at the current field at the former high school, ensuring continuity and familiarity for the student-athletes and community.

The existing auditorium at the old high school will be preserved and made available for community use, fostering a continued connection between the school and local residents.

To expedite the project timeline, H.G. Reynolds implemented an early site package, allowing site grading to commence as soon as possible. This proactive approach enabled construction to begin in early June. Additionally, an early foundation and steel package was issued, facilitating concurrent work on foundational elements and wall construction while final drawings were completed and approved by the Office of School Facilities (OSF)

The new Wagener Salley High School opened in August 2024, welcoming approximately 330 students into a modern and well-equipped learning environment. This facility represents a significant investment in the future of education in Wagener, SC, ensuring that students have access to quality resources for years to come.
